AI notetaker for meetings in French, with the notes written in French
TrackHeros is an AI notetaker that recognises a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting held in French without being told, transcribes it from the recording, and writes the summary, decisions, action items and minutes in French or in English — for freelancers and consultants whose clients work in French.

TrackHeros is an AI meeting notetaker that connects every Google and Microsoft calendar you hold, recognises close to 100 spoken languages on its own, writes the notes in nine of them, and keeps every client's notes in a sealed workspace of its own. French is one of the nine. This page is for anyone whose clients, candidates or colleagues hold their meetings in French — in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Quebec, West Africa, or on any call that drifts between French and English.
Does TrackHeros work for meetings held in French?
Yes. A Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting held in French is recognised as French and transcribed from the recording. Nothing has to be set first: the language is worked out from each meeting, so a French call on Tuesday and an English one on Wednesday, under the same client, are each handled as what they are.
The captions a meeting platform shows during the call are decoded as English, so they are not what a French meeting's notes are written from. A short sample of the audio names the languages actually spoken, and any meeting that is not in English alone gets a full pass over the recording. That pass produces the transcript the notes come from. How automatic language detection works covers each step.
Can the meeting notes be written in French?
Yes. French is one of the nine notes languages. Choose it for:
- your whole account, if most of your work is in French;
- one client, if that client works in French and your others do not;
- a recurring meeting, such as a weekly call with a team in Lyon;
- a single meeting.
The most specific setting wins, and the meeting page says which one decided. There is also "same as the meeting": a call held mostly in French gets French notes, and an English call under the same client gets English ones. A meeting that has already been summarised can have its notes rewritten in French afterwards.
The notes are written in French from the English transcript. They summarise what was decided and who owns what; they are not a quotation of the French that was spoken.
What do the exported minutes look like in French?
The headings and the dates are French as well. The PDF, the Google Doc, the Notion page and "Copy for email" all use the same words:
| In English | In French |
|---|---|
| Minutes of Meeting | Compte rendu de réunion |
| Summary | Résumé |
| Decisions | Décisions |
| Action items | Actions à mener |
| Owner | Responsable |
| Due | Échéance |
A date is written the French way, weekday in lower case: mercredi 21 octobre 2026. Digits stay Western in every language. What the minutes contain, section by section, is on the meeting minutes page.
What about a meeting that mixes French and English?
It is handled in the same pass. Plenty of French-speaking teams talk about code, releases and figures in English inside French sentences — "on pousse le correctif demain, so the release can still go out Thursday". The pass over the recording reads the switch where it happens, and the transcript renders the whole line into English. Transcribing a meeting that is half French, half English walks through one.
A meeting that mixes French with another language and no English — French and German on a call in Geneva, say — gets the same pass, but it is not a combination TrackHeros has tested, so no claim is made about it.
Is the transcript in French?
No. The transcript is rendered into English line by line, and the transcript page says so in one line: "Translated to English from a conversation held in French". That keeps one transcript readable by everybody on the account, whichever languages they read. The French original is stored with each line, but the app does not show it. If you want French on the page, the notes are where it appears.
Do I need to tell TrackHeros a meeting is in French?
No. You can list the languages a client speaks — French and English, for instance — and that is optional. If you do list them, list all of them: a language left off the list is treated as less likely, which matters for a client listed as English alone who sometimes switches to French.
What happens with a recurring meeting held in French?
A recurring series remembers its language. A series held in French gets the full pass over the recording every time — only a series heard in English alone may use the platform captions instead — so a weekly French stand-up is never summarised from captions that were decoded as English.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can TrackHeros write meeting minutes in French?
Yes. Choose French as the notes language for your account, one client, a recurring meeting or a single call, and the summary, decisions, action items and formal minutes are written in French. PDF, Google Doc and Notion exports carry French headings and French dates.
Does TrackHeros handle a meeting that switches between French and English?
Yes. A sentence that starts in French and finishes in English is read by a second pass over the recording, which hears both languages, and the transcript renders the whole line into English. The notes are then written in whichever language you chose.
Is the transcript of a French meeting in French?
No. The transcript is rendered into English line by line, so anyone on the account can read it, and the transcript page says the conversation was held in French. The French original is kept with each line but is not shown in the app.
Do I need to tell TrackHeros the meeting is in French?
No. Each meeting's language is worked out from the meeting itself. Listing French among the languages a client speaks is optional; if you list languages for a client, list all of them.
